As I explored generative AI tools, I noticed a common pattern among creators, including myself, to produce basically fanart and reimaginings of existing famous IP/characters. This led me to question if AI can recreate iconic and recognizable worlds, could it also replicate something intimate and familiar, like the room I had lived in for two years? I trained the model with a series of photos of my room and used image-to-image generation to reconstruct it. From a distance, the results looked almost identical. Without zooming in, it became difficult to tell which images were real and which were generated.
